تاريخنا

Ghad Al Afdal was founded during one of the most turbulent periods in Lebanon’s modern history. In the midst of national conflict and uncertainty, a strategic and forward-thinking decision was made: to invest in human development as the most effective and enduring pathway to societal resilience and progress.

In 1979, Omar Al-Mokhtar Educational Center (OMEC) were laid, reflecting a steadfast belief that education is the cornerstone of sustainable development. On October 1, 1984, the Center officially began its academic operations, establishing itself as a mission-driven institution dedicated to educational excellence and community advancement.

From the outset, the vision was both clear and comprehensive: to offer continuous, high-quality education—from early childhood through higher education—guided by the principle, “From nursery to university.” This vision has consistently shaped the Center’s strategic direction and continues to inform its ongoing growth.

The institution distinguishes itself not through mere expansion, but through a commitment to qualitative development. The campuses features advanced laboratories, dedicated technical workshops, comprehensive libraries, modern sports facilities, and open green areas—all thoughtfully designed to foster a dynamic and supportive learning atmosphere."

A key pillar of its success lies in its distinguished academic faculty and experienced administrative professionals. Together, they uphold operational integrity, pedagogical excellence, and alignment with both national education standards and international best practices.

Over the decades, the Ghad Al Afdal has broadened its reach and deepened its impact, emerging as a recognized educational leader across Lebanon. Anchored in a commitment to equity, academic rigor, and social responsibility, the center continues to prepare generations to contribute meaningfully to their communities.
